Medical Emergency Fund for Sunny Charlie

Sunny Charlie has been through so much in a short time. Found as a stray, this sweet boy was in desperate need of a helping hand.

Arriving with broken teeth, he was booked for examination at the vet. On the day of his appointment, Sunny Charlie was coughing and lethargic. Testing came back positive for distemper, kennel cough, and adenovirus. The poor guy was admitted to the vet's isolation kennel where he received fluids and medications. Once released from the hospital, he was sent to the shelter for quarantine with antibiotics, cough medication, and anxiety meds to help him feel better. Slowly, Sunny Charlie started to improve. He then underwent oral surgery to remove two broken teeth causing him pain. Follow-up x-rays and bloodwork suggested chronic pneumonia or bronchitis likely from the kennel cough.

Now on medication for the coming weeks, Charlie is finally starting to feel like himself again. He has so much personality, he proudly walks with toys in his mouth, strutting with the cutest wiggle. Once his medication is complete, Charlie will need follow-up tests before he will be ready for adoption. Your love can change Sunny Charlie's life and help him make a full recovery.

Personal updates for Sunny Charlie will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: Round-the-clock vet care, oral surgery, testing, fluids, medications, blood work, x-rays, and daily care for Sunny Charlie until he is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of Sunny Charlie, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
