Medical Emergency Fund Page for Pluto
Poor Pluto was found with a chain around his neck, ribs showing, and teary eyed. His kind rescuer couldn't let the Doberman wander alone any further and brought him into safety for the night, rushing him to the local BC SPCA the following morning. Upon arrival, Pluto instantly trusted staff, sensing that they were there to help him.
In such dire condition, Pluto was rushed to the vet immediately where he received fluids and underwent bloodwork. His dedicated medical team kept him overnight to keep a watchful eye on him. Emaciated, dehydrated, and with patches of fur missing due to malnutrition, Pluto also suffers from infections in his eyes and ears, along with cuts on his face, legs and body. He is now on antibiotics, pain medication, eye and ear drops, and medicated baths twice a week. Pluto is following a strict re-feeding plan as to not shock his body, with special medications added to his meals to aid digestion without causing a sore stomach.
Despite his harrowing ordeal, Pluto remains a cuddly dog full of love. When a visitor sits in his kennel, he will walk right over and climb on top of them to soak up all the attention he can. This sweet boy has a long road to recovery ahead of him, once he's feeling better, we can't wait to see him find a home to spoil him the rest of his days. Will you share your heart with Pluto to show him the love and kindness he deserves?
Personal updates for Pluto will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Emergency vet care, re check visits, bloodwork, refeeding plan, IV fluids, medications and daily care for Pluto until he is ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
