Norbert came to us in an alarming state - extremely thin and struggling with an intense behaviour disorder. 

Shortly after his arrival, signs of pica emerged as Norbert began consuming non-food items like his bed, toys, and towels. This unusual behaviour quickly took a toll, making him withdrawn and visibly distressed. Norbert was rushed to the vet for an emergency x-ray, revealing the slow-moving objects in his intestine. His medical team gave him pain medication and an appetite stimulant to help him carefully pass the objects in his belly. Additionally, Norbert needs treatment for ear mites and a carefully planned refeeding plan to help him safely gain weight. 

Despite his little experience with human interaction, Norbert has made remarkable progress. Now, he eagerly seeks affection, especially cuddles, and won't hesitate to tell you about it. Will you share your kindness with Norbert to help him make a full recovery? 

Personal updates for Norbert will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.

*Goal includes: X-rays, bloodwork, medications, neuter surgery and daily care for Norbert until he is ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals
