Medical Emergency Fund Page for Dobby
Dobby - a two-year-old husky and Labrador mix - was left with a harrowing injury after an attack by another dog, leaving him in severe pain. This poor boy is suffering with a large open wound on his hind leg where you can see right down to the bone, and exposed muscle and tendons. The images have been blurred as they were so shocking to look at.
Once under veterinary care, this young pup was sedated so his wounds could be carefully cleaned and dressed without causing him more pain. He's since needed daily sedation and bandage changes to reduce the risk of infection, especially considering how open his wound is. As his condition has unfolded, a splint has become necessary to help his severe wounds heal. The local vet who has been caring for Dobby took him on as a foster to give him the best possible care. Over time he's been able to transition to bandage changes every two to three days which is amazing progress!
Throughout his treatments, Dobby has been remarkably patient and gentle. Despite the pain he must be in, he has never shown signs of fear or aggression. With all the time spent at his veterinary clinic, the staff there have fallen in love with him, and they are eagerly following his recovery and excited for the start of his new life once he is fully healed. Will you help save Dobby's leg today by donating towards his emergency medical care?
Like every animal, he deserves to live a full and happy life filled with love.
Personal updates for Dobby will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Sedation, bandage changes, splints, medications, and daily care for Dobby until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
