Medical Emergency Fund Page for Suki
9-month-old Doberman pup, Suki, came into our care with painful masses on her gums and a baseball sized lump under her jaw. Her entire face was swollen, and the lump had three small deep holes.
The poor girl was rushed to the emergency vet where she underwent surgery to remove the lumps. The throat lump turned out to be a massive and extremely deep abscess. The surgery to remove it was extensive, requiring her throat to be stapled closed with the addition of a drain. Suki bled an unusual amount during her procedure, so her medical team are doing further testing to check for a genetic issue common in Dobermans. We are eagerly awaiting test results for the potential blood clotting disorder before proceeding with her spay surgery.
Suki is an affectionate and high-energy pup, always ready for an adventure, a game, or a new toy. She loves to be with people and greets everyone as if they were her best friend. Will you show Suki your kindness today?
Personal updates for Suki will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.
*Goal includes: Emergency veterinary care, lump removal surgery, testing, medication, spay surgery and daily care for Suki until she is ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
