Persephone's life has been anything but easy. After being struck by a vehicle, she needed a paw amputation. Fast forward three years, and her previous injury is causing her great pain.

The area where her paw was amputated is the problem for the poor girl. On top of this, she has been urinating outside of her litter box. While urinalysis showed a mild UTI, her medical team suspects that the pain stemming from her leg is contributing to her litter box issues. Since being put on pain management, she hasn't had any accidents. The best chance Persephone has at a pain-free life is to remove the leg entirely. She will be a lot happier once she does not have to carry the weight of an unusable leg. 

Persephone is such a sweetheart. She has been so polite with the other cats in the room she is living in, and has become a fan favourite of all our public visitors. This beauty deserves to live out her happily ever after pain-free! 

Personal updates for Persephone will be provided to anyone who donates towards her care.

*Goal includes: Amputation surgery, urinalysis, medications and daily care for Persephone until she is ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
