Hissing and reclusive is how this sweet feline arrived; it was her way of communicating that she was in significant pain and needed help.

Staff noticed her withdrawn behaviour and took her to the vet right away. During her medical exam, Harley’s vet team discovered an old necrotic leg fracture that will require surgical removal for her to live a pain-free life. On top of that, they found chin acne and a paw pad wound, they shaved and cleaned the affected areas. Her veterinarian emphasized the importance of Harley losing weight to ensure proper healing after her amputation surgery.

Since being put on pain management, Harley is transformed from uninterested in engaging with people to an affectionate and social butterfly. She loves head scratches and head butting her caregivers for more attention. Will you help provide Harley with the surgery and care she needs to make a full recovery?
