Medical Emergency Fund Page for Blaze

This 4-month-old kitten arrived limping and avoiding bearing weight on her right hind leg. The poor little thing was in desperate need of medical attention.

Blaze was taken to the vet for an exam and x-rays. They discovered that she had a spiral fracture on the fibula and she was splinted right away. She was put on two types of pain control and spent the night at the clinic so they could keep a close an eye on her. Little Blaze will need weekly bandage changes of her splint and strict rest for the next 4-8 weeks so she can heal. We are incredibly fortunate to have one of our wonderful local veterinarians fostering Blaze, making sure the little munchkin receives all the care and support that she needs during this healing process.

This friendly lady is such a cuddle bug. Even when she first arrived and wasn’t feeling her best she was such a purr monster. When she first returned from the vet with her new splint, she had some trouble walking so she just lay her body down and started kneading the splint. We can’t wait for this angel to be able to run around like a normal kitten.

Personal updates for Blaze will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.

Goal includes: medical care, pain medications, bandage changes, spay, and daily care for Blaze until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
