Medical Emergency Fund Page for Storm

The moment this beautiful Siberian Husky walked through our door; staff could clearly see something was off in her walk. Poor Storm was limping, trying not to put any weight on her right hind leg.

She was taken to the nearest clinic and her veterinary team got to work on her straight away. After a being sedated for x-rays, her vet could get a good look at what was going on. Her x-rays were sent to a specialist, and they confirmed the poor pup had a high-grade luxating patella. Storm's vet suspects that she had a previous injury to her right hind leg that never healed. The untreated injury had likely been causing her discomfort for months, the poor thing. Sweet Storm was put on anxiety medication to help keep her calm and more rested. She is booked in for surgery to repair the leg and get this husky back on all fours.

Storm absolutely adores her humans! This intelligent girl will do anything to get close to her people, she will even open doors. She has been enjoying spending her days lounging in the office surrounded by people she loves. Storm is such a character, when she wants food, she carries her bowl around as a subtle hint that it's time for a snack. We can’t wait for this young lady to be feeling her best!

Personal updates for Storm will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.

*Goal includes: Luxating Patella surgery, pain medications, and daily care for Storm until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
