Medical Emergency Fund Page for Harvey

When Harvey was discovered wandering stray, it was clear he had been on his own for some time. His body was covered in battle wounds, and his mouth was full of painful broken teeth. Thankfully, he was found by his kind rescuers and they rushed him in to us so he could get the help he so desperately needed.

Upon arrival, Harvey was dehydrated and beaten up from life outside. He was covered in old scratches and scabs but thankfully, they didn’t look infected. The worst of the battle scars were inside Harvey’s mouth, he must have been in so much pain. He had multiple broken teeth and was missing one of his canines. The gentle feline needed emergency oral surgery due to the severity of his mouth. While in care of the clinic, they discovered that Harvey has diabetes. The team has put together a treatment plan for him including the insertion of a glucose monitoring sensor and insulin. His vets are optimistic that once his dental disease is under control and his glucose has stabilized, a prescription diet alone will be able to maintain his health.

Harvey’s first days with us he was quiet and shut down. It wasn’t until his third day that he started to show his true personality. This sweet boy finally came out of his hiding spot and started rubbing his head against the legs and hands of staff. He has really shown that he still trusts humans and we know he is going to make such a loving companion when he is ready to find a home.

Personal updates for Harvey will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: Oral surgery, glucose monitor, insulin & other medications, neuter, and daily care for Harvey until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
