Medical Emergency Fund Page for Eve

When Eve, the 8-week-old Labrador Retriever mix arrived in our care, staff noticed right away something was not right with her walk. She showed a shocking delay in her right hind leg so the team brought her in to an emergency vet to be examined.

It was found right away on x-ray that the sweet little puppy had a fractured tibia and fibula. Eve was put on multiple medications to help manage her pain and had her leg put in a splint to help it heal while she continues to grow. This little pumpkin was also in need of flea treatment and once her leg is healed, a spay surgery. If her leg doesn't successfully heal with the splint treatment plan there's a possibility Eve might need to have her leg amputated, so she can live pain free. But her vet team is optimistic that with the proper TLC, this little angel will heal. We're all keeping everything crossed!

Despite the pain she has experienced, Eve is so calm and gentle. Even when her splint is being changed to keep up with her growth, she’s so easy to handle. She hasn’t yelped once and is one of the toughest little puppies we’ve ever met. She’s such a little darling who absolutely loves to be cuddled and held – she will be adored in foster care for the 6-8 weeks of recovery ahead. Eve is going to make such a wonderful companion once she’s healthy and ready to find her forever home.

Personal updates for Eve will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.

Goal include: x-rays, medications, spay surgery, and daily care for Eve until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
