Medical Emergency Fund Page for Biscuit

When handsome kitten Biscuit limped his way through our doors, shelter staff could tell he was having trouble with one of his back legs. As he was settling in, it just seemed like he couldn’t get comfortable – stretching his leg frequently and holding it up in the air in an attempt to relax.

The vet recommended doing an x-ray, as something was definitely not right. The x-ray showed that poor Biscuit has an old fracture in his knee that never healed properly, and the ball of his hip is not fully in the socket, essentially a partial dislocation. No wonder this boy has been struggling to get comfortable, living with these painful issues every single day.

The vet recommended an amputation of Biscuit’s leg to relieve him of this constant pain, and give him the best quality of life moving forward. While he waits for surgery, Biscuit is on pain management medication to help him stay comfortable.

Biscuit is a total love bug and has been described by shelter staff as “one of the softest kittens ever”. Once he’s recovered from surgery, he'll be delighted to be able to cuddle with his humans without feeling pain.

Personal updates for Biscuit will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: pain management, leg amputation, neuter and daily care for Biscuit until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
