Medical Emergency Fund Page for Kane

Despite being a stray, Kane has always had a special bond with hoomans. A good Samaritan had been enjoying visits from him almost daily, until one day after being abscent for a while Kane arrived covered in blood and with a badly injured paw. The animal lover knew to immediately call his local BC SPCA to get Kane the emergency medical care he needed.

This handsome kitty was suffering from a blacken and very swollen paw and the tip of his tail was badly injured too. The paw had been dislocated for so long the tissue was dying, making it black in colour. His tail bones were sticking out of his skin and both injuries were causing him a lot of pain. The vet team made the decision that amputating both his paw and tail would be the best step for Kane. Removing them will give him the best chance at a second life.

On top of everything, he's also been suffering with bad parasites in his stomach making it swell up, as well as ear mites causing him a lot of discomfort. He will also need oral surgery to allow him to eat properly again.

Even with all his medical problems causing him untold pain and discomfort, Kane is still purring. This big love bug rolls onto his back for belly rubs then twines around your legs begging for more affection! He will give a family so much love once he's feeling better after all his treatments.

Personal updates for Kane will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Kane until he's ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
