Medical Emergency Fund Page for Trickster

When senior Trickster came into care he had very red raw skin under his armpits, paws, inside legs and belly. He was irritated and itchy all over making every day uncomfortable for him. No one was sure why this old man was suffering. With patience and a simple dry food diet, it became clear that Trickster has food allergies. The vet clinic started him on a medication program to relieve his painful itchy skin and get this 10-year-old boy back to feeling his best.

As with a lot of senior animals, Trickster's teeth are also in dire need of attention with some even rotting. He'll have oral surgery to ease the pain in his mouth and allow him to enjoy his food fully in the future. He was also suffering from a limp due to a puncture wound in his paw. Shelter staff have been carefully soaking his paw and giving him pain management medication to help his foot heal.

Aside from all his pain, Trickster has amazing energy for his 10 years. He thinks he is still a puppy! He knows some tricks including sit, lay down and recently we discovered he can rollover! Anything for a treat. This little Trickster always wants to be where the action. He is alert to sounds, smells and follows you everywhere. He can also be found sleeping on his comfy bed at your feet.
