Medical Emergency Fund Page for Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot was found in busy part of town, dragging his front leg which was twisting in all directions. His wrist joint can hyperextend meaning he can't bear weight on it or properly position his paw to walk.
He was rushed in for an urgent examination and x-rays which showed that his condition was very severe and he'd clearly been like this for a while. This type of hyperextension is normally caused by some sort of trauma.
This little guy is names after a wild, red ball of energy for a reason! Nothing can slow him down, not even a severe leg injury. The vet team decided that with his amazing attitude and young age, Crash might be able to avoid major surgery by splinting his leg to correct it. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of care, it became clear that amputation would give him the best chances in life, removing the "dead weight" of his leg and allowing him to thrive without risk of future complications.
Crash is living his life to the fullest, even with his set backs. He is a constant source of entertainment for his foster family and we know he's going to make an amazing companion when he heals from his surgery.
His care has included initial exams and x-rays, splint procedures and multiple rechecks, surgery, after-care, pain management and neutering.
This boy will not be stopped! Will your love help get him the care he needs so he can get back to being the kitten he should be?
Personal updates for Crash will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Crash until he's ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
