Medical Emergency Fund Page for Frankie

These eyes tell a painful story. Little Frankie was only four weeks old when he came into care with a shattered front leg. A log had fallen and crushed him causing a severe break to his tiny front leg. So severe that he required the attention of a specialist and had to be transported down to Vancouver to get the care he needed.

Despite the pain he's been through, Frankie has remained the sweetest, super social and very inquisitive puppy! He is happiest when on your lap, or giving you kisses on your face, ears or anything else he can reach! His adventurous nature hasn't been dampened by his physical trauma.

When he arrived in our care his leg was stabilized with a splint and he was carefully monitored with the hope it would heal well without more drastic surgery. Unfortunately although the fracture seemed to be healing slowly the bones and tendons in Frankie's paw began to soften and the team became very concerned for his future of pain and longer-term complications. Fracture healing in a growing puppy is not always as simple as a splint and cast. For his best hope in the future, the vet decided that Frankie's leg should be amputated to give him a better chance of living pain-free in his years ahead.

Will you help little Frankie get the love and care he needs to live without pain?

Personal updates will be provided to anyone who donates to Frankie's campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Frankie until he's ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
