Medical Emergency Fund Page for Froggy
Little Froggy is just eight weeks old, but she's already suffered a lot of trauma.
Froggy was brought in by someone who found her on their property. She was crying out for help while her front leg was stuck in a rat trap. Her loving brother, Cheddar, stayed beside her the whole time to comfort her. She was clearly in a lot of pain, poor thing.
She was rushed to an Emergency Veterinary Hospital because it was clear her leg was severely damaged. We assumed the worst and expected x-rays to find a major break in her little bones. It was good news initially (!), by some sort of miracle she hadn't suffered a break. But it became clear after a recheck exam with the vet that the trauma to her leg was just to intense and Froggy will have to have it amputated for her best chances of a pain-free life.
Despite the news, Froggy hasn't let it slow her down. She was so happy to be reunited with her brother on her return from hospital to the shelter and she has been so calm and patient during her many exams. Once we were able to provide her with the correct pain medication, her personality really started to shine. She is such a strong, brave little girl who will be ready to find her fur-ever home as a happy, healthy tripod!
With your love and kindness we will be able to provide Froggy with everything she needs including vet visits, x-rays, wound cleaning, pain medications, antibiotics, amputation surgery, follow up care and spay.
Will you show Froggy that her trauma won't define her, by donating towards her care?
Personal updates for Froggy will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Froggy until she's ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
