Medical Emergency Fund Page for Delilah

Delilah likes to have her voice heard. It's no huge surprise since in the past she couldn't communicate the pain she was in. As a kitten she was put in a flea collar that wasn't resized as she grew bigger. Eventually it got so tight it had to be surgically removed, but poor Delilah was left with a chemical burn. A year on, it still hasn't healed fully.

Delilah spent months scratching at her uncomfortable neck burn, getting more and more stressed with her injury. Finally she's ended up with the BC SPCA after her owner had to be hospitalised. It's taking time and patience from staff and Delilah to help her neck to heal properly. She's required daily bandage changes, pain medication, ointments and many follow up appointments with close monitoring. But things are moving in the right direction and she's been so good at wearing her neck scarf!

This kitty is extremely sociable and spends her days either relaxing in the catio or meowing at anyone passing by to get them to spend time with her. She especially loves the company of our young reading volunteers and enjoys listening to them for hours on end!

Personal updates for Delilah will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Delilah until she's ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
