Medical Emergency Fund Page for Toast

Frostbitten bunny, Toast, was found outside alone in freezing temperatures. His story is the harsh reality of what happens to so many pet rabbits who are set free in northern climates. He is lucky someone found him before it was too late.

One-year-old, Toast, was a shell of himself when he arrived in our care. The tips of his ears are dropping off due to severe frostbite, his skeleton is protruding from starvation and extreme pressure has been put on his organs due to dehydration and malnutrition while he was fending for himself in uninhabitable conditions.

This adorable bunny is very confident and out-going despite his difficult life so far. He loves to be around humans and will jump right into your lap at any opportunity for a pet!

Toast will need a dual ear amputation to remove the most severely frostbitten areas to prevent tissue damage from spreading to healthy parts of his ears. He'll also need repeat bloodwork to monitor his organ function, specialized daily care to build his weight and strength up again, neuter surgery and a LOT of love. We're confident he'll make a great recovery but will likely be in our care for up to four months due to his various surgeries. We hope to find him a foster to adopt home to help him heal during his long road of recovery!

Toast has had a harsh start in life, please show him your love by donating towards his surgeries and care today.

Personal updates for Toast will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Toast until he's ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, any additional funds will provide care for other animals.
