Medical Emergency Fund Page for Tommy & Sasha

These kittens have been on a transformational journey over the last few months. They were part of a semi-feral litter found out on a farm by the property owner. It was clear they weren't used to human contact and they were loaded with fleas and lice, covered in twigs, burrs and grass all matted into their beautiful long coats.

The first step was to give them a good bath and shave off their fur to get rid of all the nasties. Without their fluff it was obvious these sweeties were underweight and suffering from worms as well. They were given three doses of lice treatment, but the infestation was so bad we had to repeat another three rounds! These poor babies' skin was literally crawling off their bodies.

Their immunity was at rock bottom and both were suffering from strep infections causing them pain, fever and difficulty swallowing. They're still on a cycle of antibiotics to help clear that up and unfortunately we've had to isolate them throughout their recovery as a result. Despite their limited socializing during their long stay at the shelter, these beauties have blossomed into the sweetest kittens that just crave attention and absolutely LOVE cuddles! They have the sweetest whiny meows when they want to remind you they're there. Tommy and Sasha have been so tolerant of their treatments from the start and we've been blown away by how they've handled everything even at their young age.

They still have a little way to go with their recovery and medications, as well as spay and neuter surgeries. But we can't wait to find a happy and loving home for these kittens once they are ready!

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Tommy and Sasha until they're ready for adoption. If their medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in their name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
