Medical Emergency Fund Page for Sasha & Foxy
Senior, doggie sisters require urgent oral surgery after years of painful eating. Ten-year-old Chihuahua/Papillon mix, Sasha, and her bonded sister Foxy, a seven-year-old American Eskimo, have been struggling to eat because of the intense discomfort caused by severe dental disease and terrible mouth hygiene.
Little Sasha only weighed 2.4kg when she arrived. She is tiny and in constant pain, living with worrying lumps on her body that will need testing for cancer and possible removal. On top of all that, she also has a nasty urine infection. Her sister, Foxy, is also suffering from the awful state of her mouth health.
These bundles of fluff will be booked in for their various surgeries, provided with specialized diets to help with their weight management and medications to soothe their pain while we get them back on their paws. Sasha's mouth is so small (only the size of a tablespoon!) and fragile that her oral surgery will be a complex procedure to carry out and requires her to be seen by a specialist so we can ensure she gets the best care possible. It's likely they'll need to be in our care for around four months before we can find them a forever home to live out the rest of their years together.
Sasha loves to curl up in blankets while watching you work from home, she will happily walk off-leash behind you but neither has been leash or collar trained. Surprisingly for small dogs, these doggie sisters don't like to be picked up, but they enjoy just being with and around their humans. Sasha gets a little feisty when she's hungry at lunchtime and likes to let you know about it with a little vocal "shout". Foxy is more adventurous and curious, she likes to watch people and follow you around the house or yard off-leash. She dances and gets very excited to see you even if you've left the room for just a few minutes!!
Please show these senior pups you care by donating towards their complex surgeries. They deserve to live their final years without pain!
Personal updates for Sasha and Foxy will be provided to anyone who donates to their campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Sasha and Foxy until they're ready for adoption. If their medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in their name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
