Medical Emergency Fund Page for Bart in West Kootenay

Sadly, when this loving senior arrived with us he could barely stand up. The ten-year-old Labrador Retriever was severely over-weight and suffering from an extreme bladder infection. This old boy was not in great shape and day-to-day living must have been very uncomfortable for him.

Bart needs a strict diet plan and careful exercise program. We'll also run x-rays and bloodwork to rule out any other possible senior medical problems. After his weight loss, Bart will need oral surgery to help improve his mouth health so he can eat free from pain in the final stage of his life.

This sweet senior will need to be in our care for a good while. It will take time for him to lose weight slowly before we can carry out his other treatments. But once he's back to his old self, he'll be ready to find his forever home! All he wants is to be someone's side kick.  He would be perfect for someone who works from home because he's more than happy sitting beside you all day, as long as he gets out for a short lap around the yard!

Bart absolutely loves people and attention, in particular, belly rubs. He enjoys walks but insists on holding his own leash! When excited his tail goes round and round.  As soon as we started his treatment plan, we could see his more playful side coming out.  He loves toys and is just a big teddy bear himself!

This adorable senior boy needs your love today. Please donate to get him the treatment and care he desperately needs.

Personal updates for Bart will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Bart until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
