This old boy has stolen the hearts of shelter staff!

Specks has lived his entire life outdoors - that's 13 years! His condition was clearly starting to show the impact. When he arrived to us he was underweight and dehydrated, his coat was wearing thin in parts due to fleas, his oral health needed attention and he had a worrying lump on his side.

This poor, sweet senior needs some special care and love. We're already seeing improvements now he's on a high quality, senior's diet, but he still has a way to go. We'll need to do various tests to find out more about the lump, bloodwork to monitor his anemia, as well as oral work and cleaning so he can eat free from pain.

We want to give this old man the best final years. He is the SWEETEST! Calm and playful for his age, he just wants snuggles and a comfortable bed.

He'll put his paw up on your chest for attention and gives plenty of kisses. He has a soft meow when he is particularly excited to see you and is definitely a staff favorite. Once he's back to full health, he will be looking for the coziest retirement home where he can cuddle all day with his people.
