Medical Emergency Fund Page for Mako in South Okanagan

This poor kitten was the survivor of a hit and run. Mako was found on the side of a busy road in a small town. The good Samaritan who found this helpless young animal alone, tried to find his owner through social media. But there was no luck. Thankfully they brought Mako straight to our shelter because of his badly broken leg.

This four-month-old is suffering from a fractured right hind leg. Due to the severity of the fracture and its placement, the best case scenario is an amputation to help young Mako live pain-free in the future.

Mako is a sweet, sweet kitten who loves people! He likes to gently lick your hand to show his affection, while softly holding on to it with his front paws. This handsome boy will make a great companion to any loving family. He has a lot of years to go and once his leg is removed, we know he will thrive!
