Medical Emergency Fund Page for Smokey Peach

Smokey Peach came into care matted from head to toe, and with a festering wound on her hind end! She was rushed to the vet clinic where she received emergency treatment for her wound and grooming to remove the tight matted fur.

Because Smokey’s wound is so old and infected, the vet was unable to close it completely with sutures. This means that it will have to heal by second intention and will require weeks of careful treatment and care. This poor girl is on antibiotics, pain management, and anxiety medication while she heals.

Smokey Peach hasn’t been eating well due to her pain, so she is also on medications to stimulate her appetite and treat her nausea. If that wasn’t enough, his six-year-old cutie suffers from feline oral restorative lesions, a painful dental condition, so she will also require surgery to remove the affected teeth.

Despite all of her issues, Smokey Peach is very gentle and sweet. Understandably, she is quite nervous and takes a little time to warm up to new people. Once she gets comfortable, she loves belly rubs and flops over like a little dog for you to scratch her belly.

Smokey Peach isn’t out of the woods yet. Her healing will have to be monitored extremely carefully to make sure her wound doesn’t worsen as that would be very dangerous for her health.

This gentle gal needs your love to help her get through her tough time ahead, will you help her?

Personal updates for Smokey Peach will be provided to anyone who donates to her campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Smokey Peach until she’s ready for adoption. If her medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in her name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
