Medical Emergency Fund Page for Spookie

Spookie is a little guy who was brought in as a stray when he was spotted by a kind Samaritan in an area known for having many stray cats. They noticed that Spookie was having serious issues breathing and gently coaxed him into their car so he could be brought in for medical care.

It’s a good thing they did because it turns out he has a chronic upper respiratory infection. He will require a flush and antibiotics to help the infection clear up.  He also required Cryptorchid Surgery and during the prep for his surgery, it was discovered that he had multiple lesions on his belly.

Spookie’s lesions were removed and sent for biopsies and the results showed abnormal herpes virus due to being immune suppressed. This is so unique that it has become a vet case study as this has not been seen before by experts in this field.

Spookie, or ask branch staff like to call him, Spookie Pookie, is such a trooper. This sweet boy is a loving, cuddly cat. He enjoys being brushed and likes to chase golf balls. He likes dogs and will warm up to everyone he meets. Spookie is clearly so happy to finally feel safe and loved.

Spookie has already been in care for five months and will require a few more weeks of recovery before he is able to find a loving furever family.

Will you help Spookie?

Personal updates for Spookie will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.

*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Spookie until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
