Medical Emergency Fund Page for Kato
Kato is a one-year-old boy who was sadly hit by a car. He arrived with a dislocated hip, bruises, and painful open wounds all over him. Even while in obvious pain, he was still so sweet by greeting everyone he met with a tail wag and a smile! He was quickly rushed to the vet where they tried relocating his hip, but it was unfortunately unsuccessful as relocating only has a 50% success rate.
Kato now requires specialized Toggle Pin surgery to repair his hip, which means they will need to drill holes and pin his hip back into place so he can walk properly again. He will need about 8 weeks of careful recovery in a foster home with restricted activity and physio to help rehab his leg.
Kato has nothing but love to give! This adorable guy can be found carrying around his toys and wagging his tail, regardless of what he’s going through. He has proven in the short time that he’s been with us that he’s resilient and handles his medications like a pro!
Once he is healed from his surgery, branch staff have no doubts that he will be such a happy dog who will make a lovely companion. He had a rough start to life, but he hasn’t let any of his hardships slow him down.
Kato needs your love to get through his surgery, will you help him?
Personal updates for Kato will be provided to anyone who donates to his campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Kato until he’s ready for adoption. If his medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in his name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
