Medical Emergency Fund Page for Terry & Peggy
These adorable 3-month-old kittens came as a surprise to a cat owner who did not know their cat was pregnant. Right after they were born, it was clear that two of the kittens were not like the rest. Terry & Peggy were both born with only three and a half legs!
They have little stumps where their fourth leg should be, and they are completely unaware that they have any problems. It’s heartbreaking to watch them try to walk on their little stump legs. Doing so has made them raw to the point where the ends of the stumps have become infected.
This issue would be a regular problem for Terry & Peggy, and one bad infection could spread to the bone, which could lead to a sad end for them both. It’s also very painful for them to try to walk on the infected stumps, so the only option for them to lead a pain free life is to amputate.
Terry was named after Terry Fox, and Peggy has a little peg-leg which was the inspiration for her name! Their handicap has not slowed them down one bit. They are full of beans and purr just like kittens should. They are SO incredibly deserving of knowing a long life without pain!
This unique pair needs 6 weeks of recovery time with antibiotics to fight the infections, pain management, leg amputations followed by their neuter and spay surgeries.
Will you donate to Terry & Peggy’s surgery and care?
Personal updates for Terry & Peggy will be provided to anyone who donates to their campaign.
*Goal includes: surgery, medication, treatment, regular health check, and daily care for Terry & Peggy until they are ready for adoption. If their medical costs and cost of care is less than is raised in their name, additional funds will provide care for other animals.
