7-month-old Koda suffered an injury that left her with a broken femur! This young cats leg was originally splinted to aid in healing, but the splint was never removed – which means her leg didn’t get the chance to heal correctly.

In fact, Koda’s leg is covered in open sores. Some of the sores were so bad that one of her toes has fallen off, with another one barely hanging on. Poor Koda must have been in an unbearable amount of pain.  We are so glad she is now getting her pain managed and the help she needs to get better.

Koda’s vet has recommended her leg be amputated since it didn’t heal properly and is now twisted and unusable. With your help, she can live a normal life as a tripod kitty! Since she is so young, we’re confident she will have no issues adjusting to a new life on three legs.

Despite everything she has been through, Koda is a very sweet little lady who loves to spend time with people. She needs a few weeks of recovery time after her amputation and spay surgeries before she is able to go up for adoption.
