Medical Emergency Fund for Boston

When eleven-year-old Boston first came to us, his body told a heartbreaking story. His skin was raw, itchy, and infected, and patches of hair loss showed just how long he had been suffering.

The poor senior was crawling with fleas — so many that even after treatment, they continued jumping off him for days. Overwhelmed, anxious, and clearly uncomfortable, Boston needed urgent medical attention. Once under the care of his medical team, bloodwork revealed just how rundown he truly was. Boston needs medicated baths, antibiotics, an anti-itch injection, and a special diet to begin soothing his painful skin. And on top of everything, he has a broken canine tooth that makes eating difficult and will require oral surgery to ease his pain.

Once Boston settled into a quiet, loving foster home, everything changed. With gentle care and medication to help him feel comfortable, his appetite returned and his spirit began to shine through. This once-shut-down senior started showing his joyful, affectionate, almost puppy-like side — playfully nuzzling for attention and lighting up whenever someone shows him kindness. With your compassion, Boston will receive all the loving care he needs to recover.
