A severe flea infestation left Tasmania in constant discomfort. He scratches himself so hard, that two large, painful wounds opened on his rear end.

Once in our care, he was immediately taken to the vet for treatment. His medical team gently cleaned his wounds, provided pain medication antibiotics, and anti inflammatory medications to ease his suffering and help him heal. They also discovered several painful teeth and will require an oral surgery to make him comfortable. On top of all that, Tasmania needs daily baths to keep his wounds clean, along with a special diet and injections to ease his itching. Slowly but surely, he’s starting to feel relief.

Through it all, Tasmania’s spirit hasn’t dimmed. He’s a bright, happy, and confident cat! He was placed in a foster home where he can get the extra special care and attention he needs. Patient and affectionate, Tasmania loves to rub and purr, making sure his caretakers know how grateful he is.
