She was shot. Her leg shattered. And yet… she still purred.

Sweet Dahlia was found in unimaginable pain—her leg broken, the injury believed to be the result of a cruel gunshot. X-rays revealed metal pellets still lodged in her tiny body. The damage was so severe, her leg couldn’t be saved and she had to undergo a full amputation.

Through it all, Dahlia never stops seeking love. Even with a shattered leg, this gentle soul rubs up against staff for attention, kneading the air with her paws. Now in foster care, Dahlia is healing well and adjusting to life on three legs. She hasn’t quite realized she’s missing one yet—she’s still eager to explore, still filled with affection, still asking for snuggles all day long. Personal updates for Dahlia will be provided to anyone who donates towards her care.
