Found extremely matted, skinny, and in pain, this seven-year-old kitty had been struggling to survive on his own outdoors.

Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescuer spotted Red and began slowly gaining his trust, feeding him until they could safely bring him into care. Now, Red needs a major oral surgery to remove painful, deteriorating teeth, a shave to remove the tight mats pulling at his skin, and a neuter. He’s already had bloodwork done to check for any concerns ahead of surgery.

Despite his rough past, Red’s sweet personality quickly shone through. He’s a calm, low-energy guy who isn’t afraid to voice his opinions, and he loves nothing more than some cozy hangout time and a little extra love and attention from his people.
