Medical Emergency Fund for Paloma
Found at a construction site in horrendous condition, this senior cat needs urgent care.
Paloma was all alone in the cold night when a kind rescuer spotted her struggling to walk. They gently scooped her up and rushed her to an emergency animal hospital. She was in heartbreaking shape: the tips of her ears and tail damaged by frostbite, one back leg locked and unable to extend, and bearing a large open wound. Severely underweight and dehydrated, it’s likely she had been suffering alone for a long time, unable to get around or find food because of her injuries. Paloma needed immediate pain relief and antibiotics. Her damaged leg had to be amputated, and she still requires a tail amputation and spay surgery before she can move on from her painful past.
And yet, despite everything, Paloma is so full of love. This gentle senior purrs loudly, making biscuits with her paws, and melts into the affection of her caregivers. She has endured so much, and still trusts with her whole heart. Will you help her continue to heal, so she can start the next chapter of her life in comfort?
Personal updates for Paloma will be provided to anyone who donates towards her care.
*Goal includes: Tail and leg amputation, x-rays, medications, spay surgery and daily care for Paloma until she is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of this loving senior, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
