It’s awful to think of this tiny soul wandering alone—skinny and afraid, with bald patches on his ears and back.

When Martin arrived in our care, he was timid and unsure. His care team immediately put him on a refeeding plan to help him safely gain weight. A veterinary exam revealed retained baby teeth, an issue that can cause pain and long-term complications if left untreated. Martin needs oral surgery to remove them, along with a neuter surgery. His medical team suspects his missing fur may be due to poor nutrition or an underlying skin condition, so he’s now on a healthy diet in hopes of improving this.

Martin is slowly learning that he’s safe now, and there will be a warm bed and a full bowl of food for him every day. He reminds us of a little house elf—fragile but full of quiet magic. And we know there’s so much more to his story still waiting to unfold. With proper nutrition, pain relief, and plenty of TLC, this sweet soul will continue to blossom.
