Medical Emergency Fund for Nitro

Nitro’s golden eyes hold a quiet pain. This gentle cat has been through so much—when he arrived in our care, a deep wound on his neck had turned into a large, burst abscess, leaving him in agony.

He needed emergency veterinary care right away. Nitro’s medical team sedated him, and removed removed dead and infected tissue before closing the wound. Now, Nitro is on antibiotics, pain medication, and anxiety relief to help him heal—but he’s not out of the woods yet. He still has weeks of recovery ahead before his stitches can be removed, and he’s also being treated for ear mites.

Through it all, Nitro’s quiet resilience has amazed us. Though understandably nervous, he has shown an immense amount of patience and trust with his caregivers. Now, he’s beginning to let his guard down, greeting us with soft purrs and affectionate head nudges.
