Medical Emergency Fund for Roo
At just three months old, this tiny kitten was found wandering alone, gravely injured and in desperate need of help.
Likely hit by a car, this tiny kitten had a fractured leg and a dislocated one, leaving him in immense pain and unable to move properly. His dedicated medical team quickly provided pain relief and formulated a treatment plan to give Roo the best chance at recovery. Initially, we hoped to delay amputation until he was a bit older, allowing time for his body to strengthen. However, when an infection set in, threatening sepsis, an emergency amputation was the only way to save his life.
As Roo began adjusting to life as a tripod, he faced another challenge: a respiratory infection. Thankfully, a loving foster home has been by his side, providing around-the-clock care to help him heal.
Despite losing a leg, Roo’s playful spirit and loving nature shine through. He’s eager to live a full, happy life, free from pain. Will you help Roo on his path to a brighter future? Your love will bring him closer to the life he deserves.
Personal updates for Roo will be provided to anyone who donates towards his care.
*Goal includes: Amputation surgery, medications, neuter surgery and daily care for Roo until he is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of Roo, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
