Buddy the Elf has endured unimaginable pain—but all he wants is to love and be loved.

This poor kitten came into our care with multiple fractures in his pelvis. Buddy faces a long road to recovery, including 6–8 weeks of strict cage rest to allow his fractures to heal, followed by reassessment x-rays to determine if surgery is needed. It’s no small feat to keep a playful young cat like Buddy confined, but his will to heal is inspiring.

Buddy the Elf isn’t your ordinary kitten—he’s a trooper with a heart of gold. Even with his injuries, this determined little guy drags himself closer for cuddles, fills the room with loud purrs, and kneads biscuits of gratitude.
