Medical Emergency Fund for Seven sick kittens

Found abandoned in a box at a park, barely clinging to life.

The kittens must have been so terrified, sitting in the dark box, weak from sickness and not knowing if anyone would save them. It was actually another animal friend who came to their rescue. A dog out on their daily walk with their guardian first sniffed out the harrowing scene of these trapped babies. Thanks to their sharp nose and their guardian’s quick action, these extremely sick kittens were rescued just in time. When they arrived at the animal centre, these little ones were in critical condition. They couldn’t eat their tiny eyes were sealed shut and lesions covered their fragile bodies from ear to tail. They had clear signs of untreated ringworm, a highly contagious and serious infection. Despite every effort, one kitten was so severely unwell they sadly couldn’t be saved.

These seven fighters have been named after the crew from Snow White – Sneezy, Dopey, Happy, Doc, Bashful, Grumpy, and Sleepy. They need intensive care, including special medicated baths to treat ringworm, oral medications, and treatment for upper respiratory infections, and eye ulcers. It’s a slow and steady battle, but these tiny warriors are showing incredible resilience. Staff and volunteers must fully suit up in protective gear to spend time with these munchkins, ensuring their sickness is contained and can’t spread to other animals. Despite the barrier of gowns, gloves, and booties, plus the countless treatments and medicated baths these kittens must endure, their spirits remain unbroken. They are full of love for their caregivers.

Together, we can ensure these adorable souls have a happy holiday free from suffering! If you’re able, please help these kittens heal by sharing your kindness with them today.

Personal updates for the seven kittens will be provided to anyone who donates towards their care.

*Goal includes: Treatment for eye infections and ulcers, medications, medicated baths, spay/neuter and daily care for the kittens until they are ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of these kitties, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
