Medical Emergency Fund for Carlos

When Carlos walked through our doors, his condition told a story of his struggles. His skin was red and irritated, with patches of hair loss, and his head appeared gaunt and bony from muscle wasting caused by long-term steroid use.

Carlos was taken to the vet, where his allergies were quickly addressed. He was started on a hypoallergenic diet and medicated baths to help soothe his aggravated skin. His medical team replaced his steroid with a new medication which is already making a difference. Carlos still faces one more hurdle—an oral surgery to clean his teeth and possibly remove one or two painful fractured molars.

Through it all, Carlos’s spirit has never wavered. The 7-year-old dog is full of energy and hops around like a bunny when he’s excited. He’s also a foodie, delighting in food puzzles, and loves nothing more than snoozing in the office on his favorite big, comfy bed. Carlos has won the hearts of everyone who’s met him, and now he needs your help to take the final step toward recovery.
