Medical Emergency Fund for Garry
Garry has been through so much in his short life, and yet his delicate but resilient heart keeps shining through. At just over a year old, this sweet boy came to the BC SPCA in terrible shape. His previous guardian, facing a very difficult situation, turned to us for help.
Garry was suffering from an ear infection and mites—his pain so overwhelming that his little body began convulsing. On top of this, his medical team discovered he has a significant heart murmur, with concerns about the shape of his heart. He required an emergency ear flush and shave due to painful matting, as well as heart testing and a neuter, all performed under one sedation to avoid further risk.
Despite everything he’s endured, Garry’s gentle nature has shone through. Since returning from veterinary care, this brave boy has completely opened up, spending all his time seeking affection from staff and volunteers. He loves curling up on laps, soaking in all the love and comfort he can get. With your kindness, Garry can continue to heal and enjoy the happy life he deserves. Will you open your heart to him?
Personal updates for Garry will be provided to anyone who donates towards his care.
*Goal includes: Cardiac testing, emergency ear flush and shave, medications, neuter surgery and daily care for Garry until he is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of Garry, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
