Medical Emergency Fund for Tommy

Tommy showed up on the doorstep of a kind-hearted stranger struggling in pain. They could see the senior feline had a serious injury, he wasn’t able to put any weight on his left hind leg. His caring rescuer immediately reached out for help, and Tommy was brought to the nearest BC SPCA to get the emergency care he needs.

X-rays revealed that Tommy’s leg had an old healing fracture that was mending in an abnormal way. This meant his discomfort would be ongoing, and sadly, Tommy would never be able to walk normally on the leg again. His dedicated medical team determined that amputation was the best option to give him the pain-free life he deserves. In addition to his leg injury, Tommy’s mouth was full of painful, broken teeth, and he recently underwent surgery to remove a total of eight teeth. Once he recovers from his oral surgery, Tommy will be ready for his next procedure to remove the damaged limb.

Even with all of his hardships, Tommy remains a sweet, chatty boy who adores attention from staff and volunteers alike. His spirit is truly awe-inspiring, and despite his rough condition, he’s full of love and affection. Could you share your love with Tommy today to help him get the surgery and care he needs to live a pain-free life?

Personal updates for Tommy will be provided to anyone who donates towards his care.

*Goal includes: Oral surgery, x-rays, amputation surgery, medications and daily care for Tommy  until he is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of Tommy, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
