Medical Emergency Fund for Belle

Sick senior golden retriever, Belle, was found in a remote area with no one around. All alone, she was suffering from agonizing pain deep inside her.

It wasn’t easy to see from the outside, but Belle needed urgent medical care due to a severe infection of her uterus called pyometra. This old girl spent two nights at the emergency clinic, monitored closely and hooked up to an IV for fluids and medication. Pyometra can be life-threatening if not treated properly, a careful surgery was necessary to remove the infected organs.

Like so many animals who live through difficult, painful and traumatic experiences, Belle is unbelievably brave. She does everything she can to hide her pain from those around her, but it’s there behind her big brown eyes. Even when she was at her sickest, lying on the emergency vet table late at night as she was checked over, she did everything she could to wag her tail in gratitude.
