Medical Emergency Fund for Odin
Odin and several other cats looking for a safe place were brought to the BC SPCA after living outdoors. It was immediately clear that Odin needed urgent medical attention.
The young kitten was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection that had caused extensive damage to both of his eyes. He was brought to a nearby animal hospital right away for pain management and a thorough examination. Sadly, his medical team found that the damage to his eyes was irreversible, and the most compassionate way to give him a comfortable, pain-free future was to remove them. Odin has since undergone surgery and is now recovering in a loving foster home, where he’s receiving the extra support he needs as he heals.
While life without sight might sound challenging, Odin had already been struggling to see for much of his young life. Now free from the constant pain his damaged eyes caused, he’s adjusting remarkably well. In fact, he’s blossoming into a happy, playful boy.
Could you open your heart to this special little guy today and help give Odin the second chance he deserves?
Personal updates for Odin will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Eye removal surgery, neuter surgery, medications and daily care for Odin until he is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this animal, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
