Medical Emergency Fund for Dorothy
Like many senior animals who come to us, Dorothy arrived in need of medical attention and special care. The 15-year-old calico kitty was covered in thick matts pulling at her skin, had a damaged ear curled inward from previous trauma or infection, and her foul breath was a telltale sign of the oral disease hiding in her mouth.
After a thorough assessment, Dorothy’s medical team discovered she has hyperthyroidism and started her on medication right away. She’ll require ongoing bloodwork to monitor her condition, and she desperately needs an oral surgery to relieve the discomfort caused by her aging teeth. Dorothy is also deaf. As a result, she’s a wonderfully deep sleeper…but the moment she notices someone nearby, she’s quick to let them know she’s there.
This sweet senior loves attention, happily chatting away and demanding cuddles from anyone willing to stop and spend time with her. Dorothy has a gentle, calming presence and so much love left to give. With your kind heart, she can receive the loving care she needs and enjoy the safe, comfortable retirement every senior cat deserves.
Personal updates for Dorothy will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.
*Goal includes: Dental surgery, bloodwork, medications, and daily care for Dorothy until she is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this animal, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
