Medical Emergency Fund for Bucky Jr.
Wincing in constant pain, his eyes swollen and oozing, his small body covered in wounds and old scars, Bucky Jr. had been struggling to survive on his own for far too long. Every day was a battle. For food, for safety, and for a place in the world that had been anything but kind.
But everything changed the moment he was rescued. His days of struggling alone are finally behind him.
When he arrived at the BC SPCA, he was shut down and afraid, unsure if he could trust the hands trying to help him. At the animal hospital, the source of his pain became clear; his eyelids were rolling inward, causing his lashes to scrape painfully against his eyes with every blink. His eyes were inflamed and infected, leaving him in constant discomfort. A surgery on both eyes was necessary to give him relief and the chance to heal. Bucky Jr. also tested positive for a virus which weakens his immune system. While he will always carry the virus, with proper care, he can still live a happy and healthy life.
With surgery, medication, and loving care, Bucky Jr. is starting to heal. The frightened cat who once kept his distance is now seeking out affection, leaning into gentle touches, and soaking up the warmth of his new indoor life. He spends his days peacefully watching the world from a cozy spot, finally knowing what safety and comfort feel like.
Could you open your heart to Bucky Jr. today to help him fully heal?
