Medical Emergency Fund for Daisy
From painful steps to playful zoomies, this senior lady is getting the second chance she needs.
Daisy limped through BC SPCA doors overweight and moving slowly as every step hurt. Her nails were so overgrown they curled into her paw pads. She was also struggling with irritated skin, hair loss, and pain in her mouth. Under the care of her dedicated medical team, Daisy was sedated so her nails could safely trimmed. She was then started on pain medication, antibiotics, medicated baths, and ongoing treatment to ease her discomfort. Bloodwork revealed a thyroid condition that had likely been affecting her for a long time. She also needed an oral surgery and a spay.
With all the loving care she’s receiving, Daisy is starting to transform. Her skin and coat are healing, she’s losing weight, and her energy has returned. She even loves her medicated baths now, soaking up attention in her sponge baths, and walking right into the shower for her foster mom. More comfortable than she has in a long time, Daisy’s tail wags more, she plays with toys, and she’s rediscovering how good life can feel.
Could you open your heart up to this resilient girl to help her get the healthy future she deserves?
Personal updates for Daisy will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.
*Goal includes: Oral surgery, bloodwork, sedated nail trim, x-rays, medicated shampoo, spay surgery, medications, and daily care for Daisy until she is ready for adoption.
