Medical Emergency Fund for Charlie

A raccoon attack left this senior sweetie with painful injuries.

Charlie was rushed to an emergency vet for immediate attention. In addition to his fresh wounds, his medical team discovered an abscess, likely from a previous attack. His wounds were carefully cleaned and clipped, the abscess was drained, and he was started on antibiotics. He also had tests to check for infectious viruses. Charlie stayed overnight at the clinic for close monitoring. Now back at the animal centre, he is receiving pain medication and resting in a safe space as he heals over the coming weeks.

Through it all, Charlie has been the perfect patient, taking his medications calmly and patiently. He loves laying in the sun and soaking up as many chin scratches as he can from his caregivers.
