Medical Emergency Fund for River

River was found all alone, in pain and struggling to walk. Thankfully, her kind rescuers rushed her to safety, giving this precious young cat a chance at a better life.

The 8-month-old kitty arrived at the emergency vet with a swollen front leg and a heavy limp. X-rays revealed a bad fracture and displacement, and it became clear that River would need an amputation surgery to give her the best chance at a comfortable life. She was given pain medication, and her leg was carefully wrapped in a splint until her surgery. She also needed a blood test and a spay surgery.

Even in the midst of her pain, River has been an absolute sweetheart. She loves being comfy and seeking comfort from people she feels safe with. Though she’s a little shy, she knows her caretakers are there to keep her safe and help. Now in a loving foster home, River is getting the extra-special care and attention she needs to recover. Could you share your heart with this young cat to help her on her healing journey?

Personal updates for River will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.

*Goal includes: Emergency vet care, snap test, x-ray, amputation, medications, spay surgery and daily care for River until she is ready for adoption.
