Medical Emergency Fund for Miss Moo

Discovered in a ditch with an injured leg, and the marks of a distressing past, no one knows how long this precious eight-month-old bulldog mix had been lying there in pain. But the old wounds on her thin body tell us her suffering went far beyond that moment.

Miss Moo’s ears, face, and body are covered with signs of past injuries, and the most serious is her badly broken front leg. Thankfully, her kind rescuers acted fast. Miss Moo was rushed to a nearby animal hospital, where her medical team immediately examined her young, broken body. She was given pain medication to ease her discomfort, and x-rays were taken to assess the full extent of her injuries. Her front leg was carefully wrapped in a splint to stabilize it right away. Miss Moo was scheduled for a specialized surgery to repair and pin her broken leg, allowing the bone to heal and fuse itself back together. Since she also arrived underweight, her medical team have recommended frequent small meals throughout the day to help Moo regain strength. She is a huge fan of this plan! This pup is a total foodie, and mealtime can never come fast enough.

Post-surgery this resilient girl found a loving foster home where she can get plenty of rest and gentle care as her body recovers. Strict rest after surgery is never easy for a young energetic pup, but her foster family have shared that she has been a superstar guest! She loves everyone she meets and is really making the best of her circumstances. Despite her past this people-loving puppy can’t get enough human connection in her life…maybe she’s making up for lost time! She has no sense of personal space and gives the best face washes! She’s affectionately called ‘spooner’ in the home, because she loves to sleep cuddled up next to her people and be little spoon. With your kindness, Miss Moo’s hardest days will be behind her. This loving puppy dog’s future will be full of warmth, healing, and love.
